I would have loved to go to the children’s bookstore in Beijing especially!
I agree! I’d have loved that bookstore when I was a child.
New Goal in Life: visit all these wonderful bookstores
John: Just met a friend of yours.
Sherlock: A friend?
John: An enemy.
Sherlock: Oh. Which one?
John: Your arch-enemy, according to him - do people have arch-enemies?
Sherlock sounds SO WEIRDED OUT when John says ‘friend’. In his head he’s thinking “What the deuce??” But then John clarifies ‘ENEMY’ and Sherlock…RELAXES. AND ASKS WHICH ONE.
WHICH ONE.
Oh Sherlock, now you have ONE friend and his name is John! :’)
“Pity, we could have split the fee - think it through next time.”
:-D
Hey V, thanks for asking!
Doing all right, all things considered. Christmas was nice and quiet, and one of my two hated jobs ends tomorrow, so that’s always good :-) (don’t have a new one yet… But I’ll worry about that in the new year)
Clearing up my dad’s stuff and dealing with the paperwork etc will start properly in January; a lot of work, but it has to be done… All in all, I’m actually doing better than I would have thought, although I’m not yet my normal, sparkling self.
And what about you? Did you have a good Christmas? Punched your manager in the face yet? Not having a snow/winter crisis? (no, that was more in the New York area, I believe). Planning something wild for New Years Eve?
