Due to my colleague’s rants second day in a row about how fantastic it would be to get a job in the U.S., specifically Texas (he’s strangely fond of that state) I too…
Thirteen! YES. While I’d make the case for Chicago (the case being that I’m fairly close to Chicago), my younger sister just moved to Denver, Colorado, and she loves it there. She sends me beautiful pictures of mountains, and is having a grand old time with everything the city has to offer. She also enjoys rubbing my face in the fact that her apartment is so much more beautiful than mine and that she could have either a dog or cat in her apartment. (My beloved dog is living with my parents as my apartment has a strict no pets rule.) Though I don’t know if Colorado has the climate you’re looking for, considering the altitude. But my sister just went through the whole apartment hunting process in Denver, so she could give you some pointers there.
Also, I agree with Curly whole-heartedly. No Arizona. Nope, nope, nope.
Thirteen, yes, do it! You’re free as a bird and it would be such a great adventure! I would certainly recommend Australia, where I’ve spent a year and which is really very wonderful (lovely people, relaxed atmosphere, great weather, gorgeous snorkeling). I don’t know much about the US (although I loved both NYC and Florida), but I hear from different sources that Portland, Oregon is supposed to be a fun and inspiring city.
Oh damn this is weird, I’m still a 5 years old in my head :D San Francisco is going great you guys, and the weather is mostly gorgeous, so far, so lucky, that’s one good way to celebrate a new decade I guess :D
Less of the ‘I’m…
Congratulations, Marie! 30 is scary at first, but actually really good :-D
